General Leather Care

Your Isawan bag is made of the best leather we could find. Each piece of leather is unique, with natural features including tonal variations, marks, and veins. To preserve your bag’s original quality, we recommend the following tips:

  • Avoid contact with liquid, especially oil.
  • If your bag gets wet, remove any residual water immediately and dry naturally.
  • Do not place your bag in direct heat or sunlight for extended period. This may cause the color to fade unevenly.
  • Avoid contact with delicate or light colored garments as some leather, especially suede, can shed color.
  • Do not rub your bag with any coarse or abrasive material. Delicately massage the leather against your skin to reduce scratches on leather.
  • When not in use, store your handbag in its protection bag in a cool and dry place.

Hardware Care

Isawan’s hardware was selected for its quality and durability. In most cases, the hardware is made of gold plate which requires occasional cleaning. Here are some tips to take care of your Isawan’s hardware:

  • Avoid exposing your bag to chlorine and harsh chemicals. It can severely discolor and damage hardware. Similarly, avoid contact from hair spray and perfumes.
  • If hardware appears rusty or dull, wipe with semi-damped cloth and dry naturally.
